NOTICE

COVID-19 Telehealth Update (7.14.2020)

The number of identified positive COVID-19 cases continues to rise in the St. Louis City and County areas. With careful consideration of this, Jennifer Marks, PsyD is requiring masks and social distancing as the office is re-opened for in-person therapy visits. If you are comfortable continuing virtual visits, you are encouraged to do so in order to reduce potential exposure to yourself and others. However, if you prefer in-person visits and feel that it is necessary for you to meet your therapeutic goals, you now have the option to come into the office.  If at any time, I believe it is necessary, I may determine that we return to telehealth for everyone’s well-being.

Telehealth and In-Person Service Charges are Now Equal

In order to maintain fairness in pricing and fees, the $25 telehealth discount is no longer available. Similarly, the moratorium on missed session/late cancellation fees has ended. This means that there is no difference between the service charges or fees for in-person therapy and virtual therapy. Insurance reimbursement for telehealth services is determined by the insurance companies and applicable law. This means that the insurance company may decide to stop paying for telehealth services. If this occurs, you will be responsible for your insurance plan’s contracted reimbursement amount. I will inform you if/when I am made aware of changes in your COVID-19 telehealth coverage.

Informed Consent

All patients will be required to sign a consent form regarding the new policies and procedures before returning to the office. The form is available for download here on the website under the "more" tab and it is also available in office. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by clicking the button below.

Thank You!

I have questions about returning to the office
